The 18th Abduction - James Patterson & Maxine Paetro

I did not read the reviews of this book until after I had already purchased it and was a quarter of the way through. I’ll admit that I was prompted to read them at that juncture because I thought that perhaps I purchased the wrong book and this was not part of the Women’s Murder Club series since the storyline was so different.

However, having read all of the preceding books I would have read this one regardless of the reviews. And I disagree with the sentiments that there was too much focus on Joe and not enough focus on the other club members. I actually found it refreshing to get insights into his way of thinking and processing cases, as well as his role in the FBI.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and think it may be one of my favorites from the series thus far.

For those who commented on the lack of dialogue about Julie, their daughter was only about 2 years old in book 17 and this book was told from 5 years ago so she wouldn’t have been born. :-)
